Jane M Klausman Women in Business Scholarship Applications Available
Defiance, OH May 12, 2015… Applications for the 2015 Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship ($750 to one women pursuing a business or business-related degree) are now available.
The Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships, first awarded in 1998, are open to women enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program in business, leading to a business management career. The program is designed to encourage women to enter careers and to seek leadership positions in business-related fields in their communities and throughout the world. The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships look to the women of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Applications are due to: Zonta Club of Defiance, PO Box 254, Defiance, OH 43512 by June 1, 2015.
Since 1960, the Zonta Club of Defiance has been a part of Zonta International, a service organization which seeks to advance the status of women worldwide by improving the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local levels through service and advocacy.

Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is one of many programs for women and girls sponsored by Zonta International. 2015 Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship:
This year's Young Women in Public Affairs winner for the Zonta Club of Defiance's Scholarship of $750 is Kaylee Marihugh of Tinora High School. Congratulations, Kaylee!
The goal of the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a young woman’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.
Applicants are asked to reflect on their voluntary commitment to their school and to their community and the problems limiting the advancement of the status of women in their own country and worldwide. The Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program looks to the young women of today for the leaders of tomorrow.
